Team building games for remote workers

Working from home is fantastic. You can work leisurely and don't even have to spend a considerable amount of time commuting.  Despite its appeal, though, remote work may be isolating. Only seeing or hearing your coworkers through a screen for a few minutes each day or week might make it tough to feel connected to them.

However, having some fun is a wonderful way to break the ice, so we've compiled a list of games that will help employees in team building.

Team building games for remote workers

Two truths and a lie

This traditional icebreaker should only take five to ten minutes per person to complete. The game is exactly what its name suggests: each player creates two real facts and one lie about themselves, then takes turns letting the rest of the group find out their lie.

Bucket list challenge

Hold a video conference and allow every one of your workers five minutes to consider what would be on their bucket list.  After that, have everyone go across the room and give their list. You might push your staff to work on it jointly if they share similar activities.

For example, if you have workers who reside in the same city or those who have marathons in various cities or states simultaneously, urge them to keep each other accountable to complete the marathon! They may motivate one other, keep track of each other's progress, and tick things off their bucket list!

Turn to the Bucket List Challenge as a team-building game for remote employees if you need a fun icebreaker. It's fascinating to learn what other individuals want to do; perhaps some have already accomplished something and can exchange their experiences with their teammates.

Pictionary

Pictionary is a fun game to play with family and friends. Thankfully, there are various methods to incorporate it into a virtual setting as one of your remote worker team-building activities. There are subject generators online, and you may share your drawings via Microsoft screen sharing or Team's whiteboard.

Donut conversation

Donut is a Slack plugin that links up members of the team at random every 1-4 weeks so that they may bond over a non-work-related chat. If team members reside in the same city, they can even get together for a casual hangout if they get along well.

This game will encourage team members to communicate about anything and everything in order to improve working relationships. It's also possible to have a bundle of fun!

Jackbox

Jackbox continues to release a slew of wildly popular party games, ranging from quizzes to drawing games to fill-in-the-blanks games and tonne more! While you must purchase the packs in order to host the games, anybody may join for free using a four-letter room code on their computer or phone. Simply choose a game, screen share it through whatever videoconferencing tool you're using, and enjoy yourself.

Online murder mystery

A good majority of virtual murder mystery services are available online. To make themselves available to groups of family and friends and companies, many of them use video conferencing software. Have a good time while putting your team's investigative abilities to the test.
